We challenge each ”Citizen” to become their best self by getting to know what truly makes them tick and drives them from within. We discovery the talent within each individual to help them find that as a path to create confidence, community and commerce, if possible. We don’t ever know until we truly try.
How Our Program Works
On The Avenue provides a place where individuals can come together to work on creative services projects, create and individual assignment, and interact with the community and practice and learn new life skills. This allows each person the opportunity to share in a “REAL WORLD” working environment while having the opportunity to learn at their own pace and be met “where they are.” The unique interaction between our proprietary IABL (Individual Assignment Based Learning) and actual work for our clients allows each individual to enter the world of commerce in the creative services industry at their own pace.

IABL (Individual Assignment Based Learning)
Individual Assignment Based Learning is our proprietary methodology to help individuals gain confidence, experience community and learn the world of commerce all through an assignment that we establish for each Citizen. Whether it is a podcast, book, movie, TV show, radio show, painting or other type of creative services project, we discover what motivates and drives each Citizen to help them create and bring to life their IABL. Each Citizen uses their IABL to learn many aspects of production & creativity including writing, storyboarding, production planning, photography, videography, editing, audio engineering, voice work and digital development, just to name a few. By working on their IABL and helping other Citizens with theirs, valuable teamwork skills are learned. How to work with others to accomplish your own goals and share in work on their IABL to accomplish their goals, builds humility and teamwork as well as other skill sets. This is a crucial piece of our overall program. Some of our IABLs have turned into commerce. All of them are entertaining and have built community, grown confidence and opened doors for each and every Citizen On The Avenue.
Community & Social Interactive Skills
In order to live life abundantly, you must learn to become an integral part of the community and create positive interactions with others. On The Avenue works with our community partners, like Nashville SC, to provide amazing experiences for our Citizens. Our integrated community partnership with Nashville SC found our Citizens practicing with the team; working as a sideline reporter for a home broadcast; working in the booth for a regional broadcast; and visit to our facilities by players and admin to take part in our podcast, No Edits – No Filter. Our design department also designed a t-shirt and image that Nashville SC used in their social media.

Life Planning Skills
The On The Avenue staff works daily with our Citizens to teach and learn life skills. From exercise to healthy eating habits, shopping to time management, transportation to dating, living independently to banking and money matters, On the Avenue provides a place and guests that help us all learn to enjoy our journey more and more each day. We strive to help each Citizen to learn the necessary skills and confidence to navigate life as independently as possible. With the help of many organizational partners in the community, we give access to our Citizens that they may not have had up until now.
